The tsunami first hits Java,then Sumatra and Kalimantan. It heads towards East Timor and Australia and then slightly hits Papau New Guinea. Meanwhile,it hits Malaysia,Brunei and heads towards the Gulf of Thailand hitting Thailand,Cambodia and Vietnam. It heads towards China & Taiwan,The Phillipines with minor damage and completely breaks after.
I decided to change it,since its pretty impossible for that much deaths to happen in Australia since there was barely any space between Indonesia and Malaysia

YAY, I love being right! Yes, considering that Thaïland had less deaths than India and Sri Lanka (despite the fact that Thaïland is not as populated), Thaïland was probably the safest place to be at the time. However, some areas still got really damaged, like Phucket, Thaïland (yes, that is a real city, I'm not swearing xD)

Indonesia had about 150,000 deaths. Sri Lanka and India which had around 20,000-30,000 deaths were a lot farther from Indonesia than Thailand,which only had about 6,000 deaths. So if it wasn't for Indonesia,then Thailand would have been hit A LOT HARDER.
