Wear goggles. They're better than glasses. I keep loosing mine! If you need glasses try to find a pair that looks good with anything.

Also, you should buy goggles. Yes, swimming underwater with your eyes open does effect your eyesight. It's not really a good idea to do that. If you want to see underwater while you swim, you should wear goggles. They protect your eyes from water as long as they're on right.
